Tinkersfield is what inspired Work From Here’s founder Dave and his partner Rebecca to work remotely when they visited Crackenback in June 2020, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a relaxing, boutique mountain retreat in the heart of the Snowy Mountains covering about 800 hectares and nestled in a secluded field in the Crackenback valley, minutes from the resorts & Lake Jindabyne.

Steeped in history, The Barn House is infused with the character of the Snowy Mountains, from the stone feature walls to rustic exposed beams, beautiful timber floors and the open fireplace. It is lovingly decorated with items such as a heritage French buffet, hand crafted oak dining table and quality soft throw rugs, cushions and linen. You’re sure to feel right at home.

The Barn House has an impressive 4 bedrooms and 3 wellness bathrooms with hydro spa bath and rain showers. Sonja and Warren have thought of everything and The Barn comes with a coffee machine and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen. But to be honest, we let Warren do all the cooking when we’re at Tinkersfield – trust us.

Of course, if you’re travelling in a group or with your family you’ll want to hit the snow resorts with a huge amount to do on your days off all year round. Make sure you get some fresh mini donuts at the Perisher Ski Tube terminal in winter.
