Each room has an atmosphere that allows you to work in peace, surrounded by sources of inspiration.  NBN wireless broadband, a bluetooth Marshall speaker for a chill playlist, and a selection of fine teas and coffee are all ready to help you settle into work at The Repose. Alternatively, a dynamic, forward thinking space for remote workers can be found at The Exchange just a few minutes drive down the road. This is an innovation hub where co-working meets community, a perfect place for focused work or to organise client meetings while you’re away. You can book a space by the hour, the day and the month.

In the cooler months, gather blankets and wood, light the fire and talk by candlelight. Nothing beats a night by an outdoor fire in the private courtyard. Linger here over good conversation, with a wine in hand, as the mellow days turn into starlit nights above. In summer, enjoy an evening picnic by the Macquarie river, take a swim or kayak into the sunset.

Dubbo has something for everyone when it comes to meals. Just a short walk down from the Repose you can dine in at restaurant Veldt with contemporary dining and enjoy the seasonal menu. A handmade Indian curry is the Royal Restobar is a must, where you can order take home options or dine in.

The most recent offering to Dubbo is the new brewery as you drive into town called Devils Hollow, where you can sample a craft beer named after local landmarks alongside wood fired pizza or sharing plates. A local secret is Short Street Cafe and you’ll find this is a favourite haunt by many with an array of home made snacks, breakfast and lunch options. For an evening in town, and open till late, we recommend savouring a cocktail or whiskey at The Establishment Bar tucked away above the main street.

Take a day off work and spend time off the beaten track, along the long country roads of the Western Plains. Find a hidden spot for a picnic on the banks of the Macquarie River, or spend hours discovering Dubbo’s most well-recognised experience at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo, an open range safari-style circuit located on Obley Road.

No matter how you spend your time, The Repose will have you feeling relaxed and welcomed.
