Mimosa Eco Retreat is all about protecting as much of the living eco system as they can, while creating beautiful spaces for you to relax and work in.
Each of the four cottages are privately nestled in the landscape to make you feel far from the madding crowd. Three overlook their own private billabong and one has a pond situated near the balcony. They are far enough away from each other for you to feel that you are the only people in a landscape of natural beauty with abundant birdlife, flora and fauna. Previously a Wildflower farm, Mimosa morphs with beauty and colour with every season.
Cooee Cottage overlooks its own billabong. This cathedral ceilinged two bedroom, one bathroom cottage, sleeps two couples or a family of four. With a fully fenced verandah with a hammock and the quintessential Aussie BBQ, you can enjoy the great outdoors with a campfire in the cooler months, all while overlooking the water. This settler’s cottage is fully equipped for any length of stay.
There’s plenty of work spaces available in this cottage, whether inside, on the verandah overlooking the landscape and billabongs, or in the garden where we have provided outdoor tables. Whilst WiFi isn’t available, good phone reception is ready to do.
Mimosa boasts some of the most amazing unspoilt coastlines in Australia. There are many little bays and beaches, so no matter what the wind direction, you should be able to find a protected spot. Sandmines is a Surfers best bet. The wilderness is sure to call to you during your stay, so get out and hike the national and marine parks. For experienced hikers, challenge yourself on the circuit to Pebbly Beach and back via Mt Durras.
